On November 17, 2021 Wisconsin’s Green Fire and the Wisconsin Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers hosted a panel discussion on opportunities for Wisconsin to improve conservation of its iconic white-tailed deer herd. Leaders and experts discuss factors threatening the deer herd and present a vision for better long-term management. Learn about the history of deer management in Wisconsin, how deer browsing can harm forests, farms, and alter ecosystems. Learn what we can do to slow Chronic Wasting Disease spread and how Wisconsin can manage deer herd health through responsible hunting.
