Joanne Kline

Joanne is a consulting conservation ecologist focused on restoring and managing natural lands, planning landscape scale conservation, and adapting to climate change. She’s worked nationwide, mainly in the Western Great Lakes region, after 23 years with WI DNR as a water resources biologist, waterways regulator, environmental analyst, and as a liaison to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Joanne joined WGF and its Public Trust and Wetlands Workgroup in 2017 where she’s currently looking at how changes in Federal wetland policy may affect Wisconsin. She also supports WGF’s Monroe County Climate Change & Economic Opportunity Assessment, identifying land use and infrastructure vulnerabilities and practical opportunities to address them.
