Mike Samuel
Mike Samuel is Emeritus Professor in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He served as a Wildlife Research Biologist with the US Geological Survey for 30 years and Professor of Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has a BS degree in Computer Sciences from UC-Berkeley, an MS in Ecology from UC-Davis, and an MS in Applied Statistics and PhD in Wildlife from the University of Idaho. His research interests are primarily in wildlife diseases with focus on disease ecology and management, epidemiology, disease transmission and modeling, and wildlife population impacts. He has conducted research on Chronic Wasting Disease in white-tailed deer in the Midwest since 2002
