Peter David

Peter David is a retired wildlife biologist with the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC), where he assisted GLIFWC’s member tribes in the implementation of their off-reservation, treaty-reserved rights, in what is now portions of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota.  He received his education (bachelor and master degrees in Wildlife Ecology) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and from the tribal elders and members for whom he has worked for the last 35 years. At GLIFWC, he has had the opportunity to work with a variety of “more than human beings” ranging from wild rice to wolves. He likes to spend his free time with his wife Lisa, family, friends – or even himself – doing something in the outdoors.
